FEELING
the best YOU
live younger... longer
With beauty products - you try out the products and you can see how effective they are. Nutrition and supplementation are more complex, and very important. Did you know that your looks are greatly determined by lifestyle and nutrition in addition to what you put on your skin?
Nutrition has always interested me; not one to do things by half, I embarked on a three-year course in nutritional therapy with the College of Naturopathic Medicine and am now a member of the British Association of Naturopathic Therapists and the Association of Naturopathic Practitioners. That qualifies me as a professional nutritional health advisor.

Doctors will tell you that the starting point for a long and healthy life is good nutrition and exercise. We know that we should eat at least nine portions of fruit or veg a day (more veg than fruit!) and have a perfectly balanced diet, but how many of us achieve it?
Scientists and health professionals believe that cell damage caused by ‘free radicals’ is a major factor in ageing and many major diseases, including Alzheimer’s and cancer.
Fruit and vegetables provide us with the antioxidants that are essential in fighting ‘free radicals’.
Free radicals are toxic byproducts of oxygen metabolism that can cause significant damage to living cells and tissues in a process called "oxidative stress." The vitamins and minerals the body uses to counteract oxidative stress are called antioxidants.
Of course we get antioxidants from fruit and veg, but a couple of things to bear in mind... the quality of our soil is not as it was a few decades ago and therefore the vitamin content of the produce is not as high, this coupled with the fact that people have busy life-styles and don't eat 9 portions of fruit and veg per day... means that our body may be starved of the best nutrients to function at optimal levels.

There are numerous supplements on the market but remember, all things are not made equal and when we are talking about supplements that you consume, quality is all important.
